Sansui 9090db

I'm very confused here. Are you taking these readings at the speaker terminals? You are saying it's putting out 60 VOLTS and it's not in protection, Green LED on the front panel? Something is very wrong here. Where exactly are you taking these measurements?

When I turn the receiver on it flashes fast red clicks and steady green. The day I connected my kg4's it did the same. As soon as I switched the speaker selector on it had a little pop through the speakers and a steady hum. And fried the kg4's
Something is very wrong here. Take the bottom cover off and measure the voltage on the blue and the gray wires that come off the bottom of the power supply board. That's the output signal from the driver board to the protection board.

Question which may not matter. When I first took bottom and top off screw weren't magnetized and all are now?

Not sure what you mean by magnetized screws. They don't come that way but could become magnitized if you are using a magnetic screwdriver. When you take the voltage measurements on the blue and gray wires use the metal chassis for you negitive probe.

Well the meter went as high as 230 and lower. But bad side is where I had probes popped and lost power to receiver.
 
There shouldn't be any pops when using a voltmeter unless you are shorting across something with the probe. When you say it went as high as 230, what units, volts or millivolts. Please don't post numbers without identifiying the units. None of what you are saying makes sense to me. With the unit turned off, take a picture of where you are putting the probes.

I didnt get message about using chassis for negative probe. Probably the reason for the pop. It still powered up. Went green and no fuses blown.
 
Appoligize for not giving proper info. I really never messed with or used meters believe or not. It was set on DC and was volts. I did notice whe i took the pic the blue wire was slightly crimped. This is a new experience for me so its a slight learnig curve.

It may be time to find someone that knows how to use meters. What I'm trying to find out is a very simple measurement. Depending on that value, it is likely to get quite a bit more complected. If you are having trouble now, it's not likely to get better. The 9090DB is a great receiver, well worth the cost of having an experienced tech look at it. Based on the information you have provided so far, it's likely you have shorted outputs and someone has disconnected or bypassed the protection circuit. Repairing either of those issues is probably out of your league.
