Hi guys, new to the group, massive sansui fan,
Need some advice on my sansui 9090DB, I think it’s in protection mode, flashes red for awhile then turns green once turned on, does the same when I change speaker selection, anyway was playing using Bluetooth with songs from my iPhone, done this many times, this time it played for 10 min then sound cut out, no matter what selection I chose ( phono, radio ect ) no sound, not sure what to do now, I’m thinking internal fuses maybe ? Anyway have bought a kit to do a full refurbish on the unit, like to keep for future use if there’s a quick quality fix for now, also need some info on the Dolby setting, been told this should be discontinued

Fuse resistors on the driver board are the main culprits in most cases with these amps.

Measure for any DC on the speaker terminals. Simple as pos on the positive and neg on the negative. High DC can cause protection to kick in. Your meter should read +/- 15mv (0mv preferred) with volume at zero and no input signal.
