Sansui AU-70: Any problem driving 6Ω speakers?

I recently bough a pair of vintage Diatone DS50cs speakers, which are 6Ω. I wish to drive them with Sansui AU-70 which only has 8Ω or 16Ω terminals. Would there be any problem if I connect the Diatones to the 8Ω outputs on the AU-70? Should I watch out and not to crank it too high-though it is difficult not to, the Diatones sound so good!

I read from another forum this question, no one gives any reply:

Should I be wary of using speakers that are "6 ohm nominal/4 ohm minimum" with an older Sansui G-5700 receiver that's 8 ohm (minimum) and has not yet been recapped? I've already had an SX-980 burnt out from using 4 ohm Smaller Advents, and don't want to kill yet another receiver. However, I know the Sansuis are built differently.

Tube amplifiers cannot be damaged by a lower than rated impedance load, like transistor amplifiers. The worst thing which will happen is you'll run out of steam early (i.e. the amplifier will fail to put out rated power into a lower than rated impedance). Hook it up and give it a try, you've got nothing to lose!
