Sansui AU-717, TU-717, SC-3110, GX-5 rack value?

Local guy has this setup for sale, all in working condition:

Sansui AU-717, TU-717, SC-3110. He's asking $1,100. I believe the price includes a GX-5 rack and rack handles for all components. I know he put some work into fixing the 717 and getting the 3110 working correctly. Tuner has been aligned. Any thoughts on value? He's had this for sale for several months with no takers in his wide circle of audio friends. I've seen the setup, and it does look to be in very good/excellent condition. I've never heard anything from this line (717/517/417, etc.) so don't know how it would compare to the earlier Sansui amps/receivers I have. I know there is a lot of work involved in properly restoring an AU-717. Doesn't seem like a bargain price, is it a fair price? Could I move the set along (most likely as separate sales) if it's not to my tastes?

It's not unreasonable at all for an end user. That's probably not the right price for a flipper.

Reselling may be difficult due to local conditions and after next week, conditions in general. Shipping would just be plain difficult.
 
I would want at least $1100 for a rebuild AU-717, but most people won't do the full rebuild on those (caps, most transistors, anything the glue touched, and full glue removal).

The Au-717 has not been rebuilt. I believe it had a fault when he got it and fixed that, but no "restoration" work done otherwise.

If I remember right he had an AU/TU 717 pair about 6 months before and sold the pair for $700, or something like that. He has the pieces of this set priced individually:

TU-717. $275
AU-717 $675
SC-3110 $250

And is "discounting" the three to $1,100 as a set.
 
If the TU-717 is nice and has been recently and properly aligned, $275 is not way out of line. The tuner market is weak. A good price for the end user, not the flipper.
