Sansui AU-717 Volume Pot

Yes.. I know. A difficult item to find. I've been through the regular sources, Oaktree, Sansui-Parts-Shop, Woodang... They all referred me back here. lol

The Sansui Part Number is 1090280 ....dual 150K log pot with another 5K dual pot piggybacked for loudness.

If anyone has any idea where I can find one I'd really appreciate the info.. Or perhaps a suitable replacement?

hi,

I had a same issue with my au 999 volume,the technician change it a replacement for me and the sound quality changed!!Finally i asked him to get a more expensive good volume pot ordered from net which actually perform better then the previous,i will for sure replace the pot if i can find the orginal au 999 volume pot

The pot on the 999 is a little easier find. Its just a dual 250K Ohm logarithmic. I'll bet your tech stuck in a linear.

The 717 pot is an obnoxious thing lol.. dual 150K's with another set of dual 5K's attached to it.

Echowars once told me that Mike Percy Audio has a suitable replacement but it lacks the loudness tap.....
