I believe a good tech will have most of the components in stock and will get any others needed from Mouser, Digikey, etc.

On my first Sansui I ordered the parts to do it myself. Got cold feet after starting and looked up a local tech to do the install. Tech turned down the work as the units, 5000a, had a bad history. After working up the courage I ultimately finished the job, even going further than originally intended. End result is I am glad the tech turned down the job.
