Hi Everyone,
I have found a lot of info on this integrated amp in these forums, and am especially impressed with Leestereo's refurbishment of Scribby31's unit several years ago. I still have one of these and while it probably needs a similar recapping and transistor upgrade, I have a more immediate problem that maybe someone can help shed some light on.
Simply put, the power/speaker select switch has become difficult to turn after spending many years unused in the garage. I fired it up again the other day and it still sounds pretty good, but the switch feels as if there is some hardened grease on the shaft and the position detents don't work well. I somehow doubt that these switches actually did have grease internally, so before I start pulling things apart, I am wondering if anyone has any insight into this problem and an easy solution. Can I go in there with a spray cleaner without causing any damage?
Appreciate any thoughts. Thanks.
By the way, I'm the original owner and have the operator/service manual for this and the matching tuner that I'm happy to share if anyone needs it.
