Sansui AU-9500 or Marantz 2385?

Hi friends, I have one big question: I have a Sansui G-22,000 in excellent condition and working perfectly, however I wanted to experience a sound different from his, a sound with more present bass and no annoying treble like his, a less flat sound! There was an opportunity to buy one of these two amplifiers: - Sansui AU-9500; - Marantz 2385. I know the two are extremely different, but which of the two would have a sound with more bass, soft mid, and treble less strident? My speakers are: Wharfedale E-70 100w 94db and JBL 4430 300w 93db.

I don't think you could go wrong with either amp. As the others have said, the 2385 will give you the sound you are looking for. The AU-9500 is no slouch but it will give a harder, faster sound which is not what you are looking for. I've owned both and heard the G-33K.

Not necessarily better, just more in-line with your stated preference.
