Hi all
I scored a one owner like new sansui sp-5500

I recently picked up a ca-3000... to pre.

Now I need to know what amp. Here are my choices:
Sansui ba-2000 or ba-300 or ba-f1

Any help would be great! Not a large room, 20X15 currently have kef50 and some sp2200.

David

The perfect match for your CA-3000 is of course the BA-3000, the BA-2000 is ok too as it is in the same series but lower in the pecking order. The BA-F1 is also excellent, but perhaps best paired with its matching pre-amp the CA-F1. All of these will need reconditioning before being put into daily use.

Plus you OWN a 3K.....In a WORST CASE you can send it out for a full restore for ALOT LESS than F1 via E bay that has been TOUTED to be overhauled..OH AND the OEM sansui output transistors are VERY HARD TO FIND.. You can put in other devices in for the finals but a bit of re design ( mechanically ) needs to happen.

The Ba -3000 was clocked at 240 to 245 watts per channel . The last time it was on the bench .

I have the BA CA 2000 combo and am quite happy with the wattage. Currently using Pioneer HPM 150's. Sure don't need more power. Have a pair of HPM 200's waiting in the wings for a quad setup when I get a proper size room. If I were in your shoes, I would look for the 3000 .
