They originally wanted $20 for it and I wasn't in the market for yet another deck that may or may not work well. It wasn't the cleanest machine either, but everything was intact. It sat in the store for a week. Finally, it came to half off day so I took it to their testing station and to my surprise everything worked. Well? It's a Sansui and it has a nice build weight to it too so I gave it a new home. Here's some info I've drubbed up online so far, Maybe you guys know more. "The Sansui D-W10 is a stereo double cassette deck with Dolby B and C noise reduction, it was introduced by Sansui in 1984 and discontinued 2 years later in 1986. The main features of the Sansui D-W10 are: microprocessor-controlled dual transport, auto-reverse, double-dubbing cassette decks, 2 heads, analog 3 digit tape counter, automatic tape type selection with support for normal, chrome and metal tapes. Suggested MSRP $600." The tape path needed a major cleaning is all about I've had to to to it so far. I've never owned a computer controlled deck. I'm digging it and it sounds good to boot.
I want to get my matching MSC 3563 deck working again, but in the meantime I'm happy with this rig!
