Sansui Eight Deluxe power cord?

Hey Guys,

I was recently given a Sanui Eight Deluxe minus the power cord. I hear its a pretty decent reciever. Does anyone know where I can get a power cord for this unit? i did see one for a straight model eight here <http://www.oaktreevintage.com/Sansui_Stereo_Parts_Units.htm>

the picture on the back of the eight looks different than the back of my Eight Deluxe... Can anyone tell me if the plug for the eight fit my eight deluxe?

THanks!

Measure the spacing of the pins. Sansui used an odd spacing. When using a modern replacement you typically have to split the plug so you can get the pin spacing to match.

I picked up an Eight at a rummage sale last summer, it was missing the cord as well. I lucked out because I had a G.E. table stereo from the early 60's, and it's cord fit the Sansui exactly. But I can't tell you how many times since then that I've run across cords at thrift stores, flea markets and the like that looked like they would fit. Or at least worth the $1 gamble that it would!

I checked out the same site you did for a used cord, before I remembered the one I already had. The price they were charging floored me. No way I'd pay that much. Check some local thrifts; they usually have all of the power cords in one area. Or the website Stene provided.

Yeah the eight deluxe has a wired in power cord, just cop something off of a lamp.
The eight has a plug in power cord and it is hard to find.
