I have a 990DB that isn't working quite right The Tech says the F2624 Board is bad and beyond repair...So I am reaching out looking for one... If anyone has one just laying around and needs a good home please let me know!

Good Point! I don't have a full photo it's still at the tech shop. Which is also a retail shop for high end audio...(High end meaning, we sat and listened to a system that retailed for 250k...) Sounded nice but....
 
My opinion is that a shop that sells high end audio for $250K, is not too motivated to spend the time and effort to properly repair a driver board for a 70's vintage Sansui.
I have repaired many of these type of boards, including ones that were abused by others. They just need someone with the skills and time to devote to repairing the board. I agree with Doug above, in the thought that your board is repairable.
 
That board is completely repairable. If they say it needs to be replace you are in the wrong shop. It's likely just a couple of fuseable resistors that need to be replaced. If they don't know what fusable resistors are, you are also in the wrong shop.

You are being fed a line of bulls*it, probably to try to sell you some new equipment. The techs here a AK are amazing at what they can accomplish with the old Sansui equipment. Speak up about the troubles you are having.

We've repaired literally hundreds of these boards and have yet to see one that was "unrepairable". That even includes a couple that caught on fire.

I'd like to hear that $250K system. Usually, super high priced hifi speaker systems have huge frequency response problems, not flat response at all. I used to go into high end audio stores and listen to expensive systems but just found that all I was doing was pissing people off when I would laugh after listening to $25k speakers.

If you want to hear some really good speakers, listen to some made for monitoring in recording studios. Those are made with one goal in mind, accuracy. Even the mid priced studio market, those made for semi-pro studios will be better than hifi speakers costing up to 10X as much. For a good look at pro and semi-pro gear go to Sweetwater.com.

Thanks for the feedback...You guys are probably right I am working with the wrong shop...I'll go pick it up and reach out about repair options...Amazing 7 months 3 techs and the thing is still not fixed. I am a patient man but this is ridiculous...
