Hi All,
I have been enjoying my Sansui FR-D4 for a year or two, and have encountered a problem with the "computer". The autolift function has never worked properly on this, but I never minded taking care of the tonearm manually. If I let the record spin out to the lead out track, the "computer" would attempt to autolift the tonearm home, but because something is amiss in the mechanism, it shuts off the turntable motor. In the past, turning the turntable off and on would reset the computer allowing me to continue. No more.....
I dont want or need the computer, but now the computer engages everytime I power up the turntable, and it shuts off the platter motor after about 5 seconds of the green LED light indicator on the front panel blinking.
Can I just pull a fuse or some other simple disconnect to disable the computer or autolift function?
Many thanks!
