Sansui G 7500 Dropped Left Channel Sometimes

The other day my Sansui G 7500 receiver left channel stopped working in stereo mode from the AUX in and Phono 1 input ( nothing in Phono 2 ). Mono there is sound coming out of the speaker. But, with tape monitor one and two the channel works in stereo and mono. FM and AM also work just fine. Any idea what might be causing this? Something I could maybe easily fix? Receiver is heavy and no repair shop in my area.

Thanks for any help.

Thank you. I'll give the de-oxit another go. I did spray de-oxit in the pots a couple of years ago when I had static-y sound with the volume knob--( same for my R2R deck ). I hope that's all it is.

Connection issues generally are the number one problem in vintage gear. Dirty switches and pots, dirty/damaged/worn relay contacts, cracked solder joints.

Problem is back. Went to play a LP and the left channel was very low. Mono brings both speakers back to same volume. If I turn the balance knob full left the left speaker does increase in volume if I turn it up, but at the same volume ( according to the volume knob ) the right will be way higher if I turn the balance knob back to middle. I'd hate to send this is since shipping would be very expensive I would assume and I have no idea where to send it.
