Hi I Have A Problem With My Sansui G 800 I Just Got In I Cant Get Any Sound Out Of The Function Switch But If I Take A Preamp And Use The Sansui G8000 As A Power Amp It Works Fine

Check the position of the connect/disconnect switch on the left side above the amp/pre amp rca's. It needs to be all the way to the rear of the unit, full left position for stand alone receiver function.
This switch is also a source of many problems like what you are describing so clean it with deoxit, work it a bunch of times and clean it again.

If it is in both speakers, it could be a preamp problem. Like Gary said, clean the crap out of that little switch on the side. I was told before, all switches and pots are subject. Clean them all. If you have already, clean them again. If cleaning the switches doesn't work, remove the speaker relays and clean the contacts.
