Sansui or Nikko

hey everyone first time posting. I have always watched this forum and could get lost for hours. I need some help

There is a local that has some top shape vintage gear. Like practically brand new looking. I wanted some input on price and choice

Option 1. Sansui G7500 for $200
Option 2. Nikko NR-1219 for $250

Which one would you choose and these are in perfect condition like brand new looking. Are they worth it ?

Thanks in advance for any advice

Hi glad your here. They are both good deals for me it's a tough call.I say get both, listen to them and decide which one you like better. Then sell the one you don't want.If your like me I'd keep em both!

Where is this store? Tell us after you decide. Where I am those are good prices, assuming they work. That's a pretty good choice to have to make, Nikko are underrated, I have a 9095 which sounds wonderful but the Sansui is.... If you can buy both

The person is located in oak lawn , Illinois . The sansui was already sold so I'm getting the Nikko tomorrow . Can't wait. This is my first major vintage purchase. I have been slowly starting my collection since last year so far

Set of Fisher XP55 B 's
Mission model 70's
Klipsch kg 2.5
Klipsch kg 4.2
Cerwin vega E315

Nikko is cool!

Had many friends, back in the day, who were Nikko owners.

Always liked Nikko.

And... they have a 'Very Original Styling', a Look, all of their own. Nice. :thmbsp:

I'm a big Sansui fan but I would go for the Nikko because of the triple tone control.

Dave , I live in Lockport currently grew up in Homewood. Thanks everyone for the input will post pictures as soon as I grab it tomorrow!

Here it is. It sounds more incredible that I thought. My first step in making a great system. Thanks to everyone who shared. The guy was awesome and has quite a collection including multiple sets of JBL L100 's marantz 2325 , sansui 7,8 and 9000 models . I was drooling. So thankfully he parted with the Nikko , next step is to get my hands on some speakers that can handle this. My Cerwin 315s are beastly but not really as high end.

Nikko!

Nikko's are rarer items than the Sansuis and depending on the era were fine pieces.

I had an old technician sneer at my NR-1215 - until he opened it up to repair something and he came away impressed, especially by the tuner and the phono pre-amps.

You playing records on the new guy?
