I have a sansui QRX 6500 quad receiver. It still has all original parts and I do like the sound of it as it is now.
Since it's a quad receiver with 2 separate amplifier sections, I feel tempted to perform a recap of the "front" amp section only and leave the "rear" section as is.
This will give me the opportunity to switch between the all-original non-recapped rear and recapped front and enjoy 2 types of sound.
I have a question if anybody did something like this? Is it technically a viable option given the construction of the receiver - i.e. am I looking on any problem in the long run by doing recap of one amp section only and allow the other running as-is (e.g. in the power section etc.)
