Sansui Rack, Cabinet, and APS console model numbers

Any idea what year these two were offered? Looks like early-mid 1960's, but can't be certain. It is notable that the speakers do not have the signature wood grilles, but cloth instead. Either these predated what would become the trademark look for Sansui speakers (even in the JDM), or they just chose to style them differently.

I see also that the tweeters are mounted with a cut out in the cloth, rather than behind the cloth. A strictly aesthetic decision perhaps, or do you think the grille cloth would've colored/atennuated the sound?

The APS-10 in blonde finish is quite striking. Not really my taste, but it looks good nonetheless.

That's a pretty handsome setup. Although I have to say the early 80's components and the rack tend to make the speakers look quite dated by comparison. Sansui continued with the Kumiko wood grilles on some models until 82-83 (SP-Z9II was the last model to have them, as far as I'm aware) but that aesthetic was definitely getting "out of place" by 1980 IMHO, even though I really like the wood grilles. i think this system would've looked better with only black grille cloth on the speakers.

The carved wood grilles were very much a product of the late 60's to late 70's, and carrying it into the 80's (especially after they made the pattern much larger to reduce costs) seems like an iffy decision in hindsight. Considering they had nearly eliminated wood cabinets on components by that stage, it was a curious decision to continue with the older styled speaker cabinets. I guess it had become a trademark of sorts, so they were slow to abandon it.
