Sansui Repair Los Angeles-recommendations needed

I just received my G 9000 receiver. Looks beautiful except snap, crackles and pops on the right channel intermittently on both right the inputs for Speakers A and Speakers B. The left channel is fine.

I would like to take it to a specialist for service as I'm no expert on this myself. I'm located in West Hollywood, Los Angeles but I have no clue where to go.

Does anybody on the forum know of a good place or person I can take this baby to for some tlc in my area?

Wiggle the connected/seperated switch on the side and work all the controls to see if it's just some dirty controls/switches.

Just echoing the good advice Paul79 has offered, it sounds like a good cleaning is in order.
This receiver requires substantial disassembly for access to clean all the switches etc., maybe not a task for the newer Sansui owner.
There are experts in your area....Maybe PM LBPete or CDFixer?
I did it to my G8000 and was successful, but it was a pretty big job. Take lots of pictures as you go, and copious notes.
Done correctly it will take most of a day, including re-lamping. At least that's it took me, but I'm really picky.

wow. I did just as recommended and wiggled the connected/seperate switch on the side and it seems to have fixed the problem! I never thought to try this one so thanks for the expert advice guys.

I'll see how it goes today, but this might have done the trick.

I'm loving the sound through my JBL l110s.

Take it one step further and get some Deoxit D5 from parts express(.com) or the two pack from radio shack (expensive as all get out) and shoot it in the switch from the outside. Work the crap out of it. Then do it again! This receiver should be cleaned though as all the switches are problematic unless cleaned somewhat regularly. The above method will not work for the rest of the controls. Must be taken apart to get to them. Glad it works!

Greetings. I am new to AK. I love music and I particularly love vintage receivers. I have recently acquired a 2245 Marantz and I am currently looking for a local "repair guy" or a local "repair shop". Prefer someone who is fair and reasonable. My Stereo powers up but there is no sound either through speakers or through headphone. I would appreciate any input.

Second recommendation for CDFixer. Super tech, super guy, and super reasonable. He knows Sansui's very well. :thmbsp::thmbsp::thmbsp:

If Jim is close by to you I would also recommend him, he's been a regular poster here and I hear good things about his work.
