Sansui sd7000 speed to slow

Well using the sansui deck hit the reverse button and it stopped playing.removed back cover and belt had fallen off.pulled the motor belt looks ok,put it back on now it works but running to slow now.both speeds work but recorded tapes running slow.guess I will record new tape to see if that one is running right.it was working perfect before belt came off.

Sounds like it needs a new belt may need idler tyres too depending on the design
 
Took it apart again,the belt is perfect,all looks great inside.high and low speeds are ok.so what the hell,turned around
Looked at the front.something don’t look right,so got a tape path picture,dam the tape was strung wrong at the right
Tention arm.so restrung the tape so tape path is right.it now works perfect.guess double check everything.
