Sansui Seven

I have a Seven I’m contemplating selling…
I see on the bay they are asking over 1K, is this realistic?! My example is restored vs the ones listed are “serviced”, which could be anything.
I have been removed from the vintage SS pieces for a bit now since experiencing tubes.

When selling, I normally compare prices on "Sold" category as well as "Current Listings". The units in the "Sold" category went for under 1K, in working condition but not restored. If you want a quick sale, keep it under 1K and it should fly.

Damn, I almost made a mistake and sold my last Sansui piece! I haven’t listened to it in quite some time and was ready to post it…put in back in rotation today…it’s not going anywhere! I knew there was a reason I held on to it.

I love my restored Sansui Six

I did the same in a way.
Knew they were excellent keepers
Had 3 Sixes, a Seven and a Eight
Sold all but one
But kept a Six for a someday restoration
Hard to beat the Single digit Sansui’s

I know what you mean...I don't have the 7 but I do have the Sansui 7000 and it ain't going anywhere. It's my last one. I had at least 10 Sansui models at one time or another, most all I restored and sold, after enjoying them of course!

I had a few of the desirables here also..all gone ‘cept the Seven. It really reminds me of my Scott 299b….not quite, but close. Not as airy and enveloping as a tube amp, but has that same warmth.

Yes. I really liked the 505. Oh I do still have my favorite Sansui…my 210, it is the sweetest sounding Sansui I have. 10 watts of cap-coupled sonic bliss. Pairs very awesomely with Klipsch. Almost forgot about that one, it’s in a bedroom set up. I went through the entire thing, (recap, trimmers, and transistors) and man it’s good.
This was a good post for me, brought back some good SS Sansui memories.
