Hey guys... picked up a set of Sansui SP-2500s at the local thrift store today in fantastic condition for $30. One cabinet is in perfect working order, while the other cabinet has a woofer producing absolutely zero output. Tweeters and squakers are functioning beautifully, nothing from the woofer. I switched crossovers to make sure that wasn't the issue, and same result. Woofer is dead. it's a W-113 rated 6 ohms and 25 watts. I found a replacement on eBay and I figure I'll just pick that up, throw it in, and BAM problem solved. Then I came across a pair of W-155s from a set of Sansui SP-2500x.. these are marked 6.5 ohms and rated at 40 watts. My question is this - will the half ohm and 15 watt difference fry the crossover? I've been collecting for some time now but this is my first foray into service/repair. Exciting to say the least, but I'm a newb in this department so any advice would be great. Thanks in advance guys!
