Sansui SP-2700 waveguide

Good morning. I have had a pair of Sansui SP-2700's for several years and love them. I use them in my living room, and they get used for everything from music to movies. In movies in particular, the higher frequencies (and loud volume) causes a buzzing that appears to be coming from the metal waveguides in front of the piezos at the top. I say it's coming from them (and not the speakers themselves) because the sound stops when I touch the waveguides.

Has anyone else experienced that with similiar speakers and/or know of a way to remedy? Thanks!!

Doing more searching here on AK and came across this post...does this apply to my situation?

Could hurt to try a removal putty to add some weight.
I don't have putty at the moment, but I found a thick piece of rubber that I wedged between the two bottom fins of the waveguide. That's where it appears to have been causing the buzz. It seems to have stopped it so far. Thanks for the help!
