Sansui SP-70

Posted this over on the Sansui board but thought I'd try here also....

Just picked up a pair of SP-70s on the cheap. Wasn't really looking but thought I'd give them a try. Looking forward to listening to them over the weekend.

Anybody have any info on these? Wattage, efficiency, etc.

There's been a pair of these at a local Goodwill Outlet for weeks. I initially passed on them because they weren't quite in good enough shape for me to want to mess with. It's a shame to see how far downhill they've gone since then.
 
Sansui SP-70's?
Probably a 3-way, with a 12" woofer.
Drivers are probably Alnico.
Efficiency should be 90+...easily!
Wattage....maybe 50....tops.
Many Sansui's sourced Coral Alnico drivers.
Wouldn't be surprised if it had a forward-sounding mid-range (most Coral's do).
Should be a fairly good buy for you....assuming you didn't pay an arm & a leg for them!?

They sound great and look good in my office. Nice detail. Running them with a 15 watt marantz. Not a bad deal for a 20 dollar bill that was burning a hole in my pocket.
