Sansui SP L500

Hi guys I found this at a reasonable price… I just want to know if anybody knows what tweeters they came originally… I found pictures of this model with jbl 077 on them… I can tell SP L line drivers are jbl made… can’t find more fotos of this speakers without the tweeters deflectors… any help please

Not sure that's correct. They were certainly made to look like JBL drivers. And yes, Sansui was the Japanese distributor for JBL in the 70s. But that doesn't guarantee that one made the drivers for another.

According to this thread they used a horn tweeter. Possibly the Sansui T-104.

ETA: the T-104 doesn't have those truncated corners, so probably not.
ETA: the SP-L800 used the T-123 tweeter, which is 70mm. FWIW

Thanks… there’s no info on the l500… I have a pair of l150… they came with LE25 exact copies… the L line of sansui definitely has jbl in it

The Sansui SP-L500 speakers came with the T-142 tweeter. I have these speakers and just checked the tweeter model # to be sure.
