Sansui SR-838 headshell

'Someone' was looking for this exact Sansui SR-838 Headshell but I can't find the thread. It is a hard to find headshell with adjustable azimuth.

Anyway, here is one in Germany for sale. I do not know the seller and live I in the USA.

The little flat underside piece is missing, but then again, they always are...no big deal.

Normal price would be about $45 to $55. Cheaper than $40 and you got a great deal. Shipping costs from Germany would be $8 or so.

Yes, but I can't find the thread. I think it is under a different name, not Sansui or SR-838.

KEEP THIS...this is exactly how you translate (and purchase internationally from eBay and Yahoo Japan). Make a copy and save it.

You can translate 'any' language into 'any' language using:

1. Google Translate
http://translate.google.com/#utm_campaign=en

2. Or: Yahoo Babelfish
http://babelfish.yahoo.com/

Google Translate usually works better but both are fine and easy to use.

You can enter words or sentences, or just the internet address.

When translating eBay:
1. you need to first translate it, read it, and memorize it where the 'contact seller' button is.
2. remember where the 'things' are that you want to do
3. then go back to the original language and do it that way, usually. Then...email/contact the seller.
4. many foreign countries don't take PayPal so you will have to contact the seller, ask him if he will ship to your country, if he says YES, then arrange how you will pay. I usually send paper money, with a little extra! Because you got the item you really 'needed', shipping may cost a little more than he thought, and it's just a nice thing to do because he didn't have to sell the item to you, it is extra work sending items internationally. If they take VISA or credit cards...perfect.
5. after you pay it may take as little as 7-9 days to get the item or...as long as 6 weeks!!!!!! (English Royal Mail is really slow)

This process is a lot easier that it sounds!! It's EASY.

You will get the item so don't worry. I've found that all International Sellers are VERY honest.

If you want to buy something from 'Yahoo Japan'...contact mailorderjapan: http://www.mailorderjapan.com/
They speak perfect english and will purchase the item for you, and send it to you, for a small price. They are honest, it's their Business! It is what they DO! They are the Japanese company middle men for Yahoo Japan transactions. Cool.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for posting this information!

I usually buy from Yahoo Japan directly since I have an account.

It would be great for my friends who are searching for particular items.:thmbsp:

Thsnks for the info! We'll see how high it goes... i need a second headshell for my TT. The one i have now is the cheap stamped one...

Well.. I contacted the seller and asked if they were willing to ship.. See if there's a response. I translated it to German for them. Thankfully I know my way around Ebay well enough that I didn't need to translate much.

Thanks much for the link !

Excellent.

I could really use that exact headshell as a spare myself for my SR-838. But it's ' all yours '!! :>)

Hope you get it really cheap!!

Good Luck.

P.S.
Here's another 'RARE Sansui item' (isolators) if you haven't seen them already. I'd ' love ' to have them but I just really don't need them. But they are cool!! Last year I saw 4 sell for $66 on Yahoo Japan. In 5 years I've only seen these for sale twice, in the whole world, and both times on Yahoo Japan.

Hey those are pretty cool.. what the heck are they made out of? They look almost like brass with the color/staining.. but I can't imagine brass being a good isolator..

Edit: I translated it.. and yes they are made out of brass.

I think it's aluminum. Sure looks and feels like aluminum to me.
