I now have a fellow who has offered to build this hard to find piece. While it came as an accessory when the 838 was new, most all seem to be lost - of course. If you want to use a cart with total weight above 10 grams, this part is the solution to balance the tone arm. I am asking to reply here if you have an interest in getting one made. I want to understand interest level so that I might advice the young audiophile fellow who offered to make copy(ies). Thanks.
