Sansui SR838

Just recently picked up a nice example of an SR838. This my first Sansui TT and also the first one that you can see your refection in. I have read some people
asking about the head shell and whether it is black or silver, also was there some adjustment of the shell when it was the silver one? I have also seen two
different measurements for cabinet thickness, one was 2 inches thick the other
1 3/4 ? I do have the schematic and advertising sheet for this TT if anyone needs it.
