Sansui TA-300 Find

Just picked up a TA-300 at a local St Vinny's for $40 "as is" and took it home cause it looked so good. The front is mint, but the insides looked like a Scooby Doo mansion, also missing the AM radio antenna, but since I am under 60 years old, I don't listen to AM anyway. When I turned it on the bulbs and left channel were totally out, and I couldnt figure out the balance control until I took the knobs off (kinda nifty way to control the balance with a dual volume). I was worried with all the talk of the AN7070, but a heavy load of deox on the knobs and switches brought it back to life. Am waiting on the bulbs, but will probably add to my seasonal stereo rotation.
I'm probably going to switch it out with my Realistic SA-2001 amp/TEAC TX-300 tuner combo which just lost all bulbs and the SA has consistent problems with the selector knob.
Thanks for all the info from this site.
Also, I know what sound I like, but does anyone have any opinions among the TA-300, the Realistic SA-2001, and my other rotation, Pioneer SX-626? With the Realistic silver, the pioneer gold/wood, the Sansui is my first black TA (see receiver). I use them in the living room for NPR morning shows and light jazz/dinner party, so no crazy pounding.
Cheers!
