Can anyone recommend someone in the Philadelphia area who can properly align the TU-717. I really don't want to ship the tuner (no box and packing), but would be willing to drive 50-60 miles for the right tech. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If you can drive up to East Hartford, CT, I'd recommend Stereo Surgeons.

What is the tuner doing that makes you think it needs an alignment? Might be something more simple.

The tuning dial is way off. I listen to WRTI (90.1) and it's coming in at 90.4. It also drifts a little. The tuner is close to 35 years old and probably is due for an alignment. It is in pristine condition and sounds wonderful. It is definitely a keeper.

If it drifts a little, then an alignment is in order. Does it lose the lock on stereo (light goes off)? Often you can just slide the dial pointer to properly reside over the station you are listening to.

Read the sticky thread about cleaning tuners. If you technically inclined, it may cure most of your issues. Cleaning the front-end will likely cure the drift and may bring the dial reading in closer to what should be.
