I have a XR-Q7 I purchased in 1983. It has brought many hours of listening pleasure through the years. I still use it to this day. It has had many moves through the years. The dust cover is in very good shape, but the cabinet, not so much. Have any of you guys ever build a different cabinet for one of these? I've been thinking about taking the old case and build a new one to the exact dimensions.
I actually have the entire system I bought at the same time. AUD-11 amp, SE-9 equalizer and TU-S9 tuner.
I love all the components except for the tuner. I really never thought it was that good. I'm not sure where Sansui dropped the ball on that one, but they did. At least in my opinion.
Please let me know what you think on the turntable cabinet.
