So I just cleaned and lubed my new very good condition Sansui RZ-1000 yesterday and WOW! My mid-grade Polks and Circa 1980 pristine 3-way 12" Technics were pumpin! Of course the bass was waay high but the amp put out more power than both my ailing Denons 1909 and 4800.
It wasnt really on my mind to do the capacitors because Im just learning this stuff, but given some time to mull it over Im thinking of swapping the capacitors out and really seeing what this things can do given what the pot and contacts job did. Should I go for it? Is it worth the extra bucks? Will it make that big of a difference?
Thanks!!
