Sanyo sxm-8000 vs Fisher STE 1200. Vintage high end speakers

Hello. I own a stereo system from the Sansui Seven / Sony str-6800 receiver combined with the Sanyo sxm-8000 speakers. We found too little information about them and I found it interesting to open a separate thread. I am very pleased with the combination, the sound is amazing, with a deep bass. I'm lucky to have the chance to buy these speakers. I read everything on the internet about them, but I'd like to ask how different they are from Fisher ste-1200 / otto sx-p1. I know that the frequency response differs (25-25000 vs 35-35000) titanium and titanium speakers for sanyo and oxidized aluminum for fisher / otto, bass reflex balls at the bottom to sanyo vs half to fisher, loudspeaker alignment to fisher. These are the differences from what I read. I'm curious if you know others and if there are any differences in you are between sanyo sxm-8000 and fisher ste-1200. Someone listened to these speakers A B to tell us if the sound differs. Or if someone has disconnected these speakers and there are differences inside. Thanks and I expect your opinion. Probably some members here who have owned one or the other (there are some threads mentioning them, at least). But finding someone who's heard both and done a comparison is a 'tall order'. You never know though - AK will surprise you!

Thanks nfafan for suggestion. I read everything I found on the internet about both the Sanyo sxm8000 and the Fisher ste1200.
I wanted a few opinions from those holding one of the two pairs of speakers.

Please, once the colleagues who own the Sanyo sxm8000 speakers can have their service manual. I would need it in the future for a possible recovery. Thank you in advance.
 
What information is there really in a service manual for a loudspeaker?? The sorts of repairs that a factory approved repair centre would do would be replace drivers or L-pads. No manual required for that .

The only parts that age and need periodic replacing would be electrolytic capacitors. If you wanted to improve on the originals though, the service manual will not help - it will insist on replacing with identical spec to factory fitted. Neither of these jobs would be helped by a factory manual.
 
Agreed with steerpike. When recapping it's recommended to use the same uF values and equal or higher voltage spec, and after that, you can debate about whether to replace electrolytics with electrolytics or with films (which is often done with smaller value caps as they are not that expensive). But most of us recap by looking at existing parts, and don't bother looking for service info in most cases.
