Sanyo TP 670 power connection?

Hey All,

I've got a new-in-the-box Sanyo TP-670A turntable. However, the power cord looks like it only plugs into a Sanyo receiver - it says "For use with Sanyo DCX-670 only"

Anyone know whats up with this?

The power cord, huh? That's odd.
Well, if it states on the rear ID plate that it runs on 110 (120) volts at 60hz (whiich I'd bet money it does), then I'd snip it off and install a $3 plug from the hardware store.

rear ID plate says Power Source (DC 12 Volt 100 mA)

I'm thinking that a power converter might cost more than this table's worth?

(or maybe the money you'd bet will cover the cost of the converter?)

So the power cord is permanently affixed? Or is there a socket on the back of the 'table to plug a wall wart into?

A picture would be helpful.

A simple 12 volt AC to DC adapter from Radio Shack will do the trick. Look for the universal kind that come with different plugs and sockets--chances are one of them will fit the plug from the turntable. If not, you'll have to wire it directly to the adapter. But yes, a picture would be very helpful.
