I'm not familiar with every brand out there, and I couldn't find any for sale on ebay (guess i could do a quick google search), but these caught my eye:

The build quality doesn't look "white van" judging from the pics... and, I like that blue tweeter!

Not white van, but a speaker sold by Tweeter and maybe others. I had a pair of the bookshelf that Tom grabbed when offered. He loves them, I was just using them as bench speakers. Same blue tweeter and same metal looking woofer.

Those are not white van. I had a set of Sapphire ST 3 II's. Their top of the line tower. I loved them for movies, but I didn't like them as much more music, I ended up selling them because I wasn't using them. I still have and use the matching center speaker and rear dipole surrounds.

My brother has the slightly smaller ST 2's, and they actually sound pretty good in his house. For some reason, mine didn't work as well in my house.

These weren't particularly cheap in their day either, and were only sold here at a place called Showcase, a higher end store. Sapphire was started by Cary Christie from Infinity and Tom DeVesto from Cambridge Audio.

I'd offer less though, and use their unknown status to my advantage. I sold mine for a lot less, $100, but then again, I bought the whole entire set for $100 so I still made a profit. I heard from the buyer of mine a few days later, and he thinks they completely kick ass.

Here's a pic from right after I drug them home.
