sauteed mushrooms

I like sauteed mushrooms with a grilled filet.
I heat up a Teflon skillet, melt a stick of butter, and add some Lea & Perrins Worcestershire sauce.
I use fresh mushrooms from the store, nothing exotic.
They're pretty good, but I remember some I had at a Stag & Hound in St Louis years ago, and I have no idea what made 'em so good. Wine maybe?
Anybody got any favorite mushroom saute recipes?

Once when I was a teen I found some growing in the woods behind the house. ID'ed them from a book we had, and read that they were particularly good fried with butter and bread crumbs. They were! I love mushrooms, but if you find them in the wild you must be very cautious.

Grilled.

Take your 4-inch mushroom, grind some salt & pepper, dribble a little olive oil on the gills and then slitting the stem and putting a bit of butter in the slit. Put the whole thing under the grill and cook for about 20 minutes on a medium heat.

Yum!

Medium sliced Portabellas sauteed with Fresh sliced garlic ,,butter ,s&p to tasste and a splash of Sweet Marsala

Lemon juice, parsley, and sometimes a little garlic - and olive oil works in place of butter in case someone in your house has cholesterolphobia.

Butter is good, although olive oil is good too, and not just for people watching their cholesterol. :)

I add some garlic and Frank's Hot Sauce, and then stick 'em in the broiler.

I like to saute mushrooms in butter, add fresh chopped garlic (2 cloves) cook till the garlic becomes very aromatic, add Marsala wine (1/4-1/2 c) reduce by half (cook out the alcohol) and then add 1/2-1 c heavy cream (these ammounts depend on how many steaks you have). Heat till it just simmers and continue till it thickens. Pour over your fav steak. You can also add chopped shallots and/or hearts of palm near the end for more flavor.

And no, I dont make this very often, I'd weigh 300 lbs!

Grate a good amount of any mushroom; shiitake works great, on eggs. You can just warm them through or flip the eggs and brown the 'shrooms. It's really gut yah!
