Saw Tony Bennett last night

Went to see Tony at the American music theater in Lancaster. PA last night. I bought the tickets in March not really thinking or realizing Tony is now 85 years old. I saw him recently on the American Idol finale and he seemed a little befuddled wearing glasses, so I started to think the concert might not be so good. WRONG. Tony has it together in every way, He was fantastic & in great voice. Here is a clip someone else took last night, it's not very clear but you get the idea.

Tony's a great singer and song stylist and national treasure. I've never seen him perform live, and wonder at how good he continues to be as his voice continues to subtly age, as I have only occasionally gotten glimpses of on TV performances. No change in his voice (which is amazingly good for somebody decades younger than him) can diminish his ability to dramatize as song.

As a Crosby fan who found a similar quality in some of Bing's last albums, and who wish we could have heard what he might have done had he made it into his mid eighties, I delight in hearing Tony Bennett is still going strong. He's a classic.

I took my mom to see him about 15 years ago in Louisville and thoroughly enjoyed the show.

I saw him last summer and he may as well have been Tony at 25. A great singer and a very nice guy.

I saw Tony a couple of summers ago at the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank, NJ. Fantastic!
I had not been a fan - (although as I get older - I am enjoying this stuff more and more) but a friend of mine begged me to go.

I could not have been more blown away by the guy. What a treasure he is.
Go and see him before it's too late!

For an upcoming gig in Toronto this weekend, Tony has Diana Krall as his piano player!

Cool I knew she was playing but I had no idea that she would be playing with him like that. I'm there and got some pretty good tickets too - well I think i do. Never been to this venue.

I saw him last year when I was living in the UK. Won free tickets for his show. It was excellent.
