SC-3100 stopped, won't start, belts look good?

Howdy, my SC-3100 cassette deck just stopped one day and when I push play or any of the other buttons it just clicks off. Visual inspection shows the belts all intact and I'm just curious if there's something that I can look for? Thanks for any help. Jackson

Are any of the belts stretched? Does everything look like it’s turning properly when you push play? Or does it stop before anything turns? Are you sure all the belts are there and none have disintegrated?

Thanks for your input. I worked all the switches and levers? Inside the mechanism that I could and something must have been gummed up or stuck. Got it working. I need to play it more often. Thanks Jackson

Nice. I had bought a belt kit for one of my Sansui cassette decks and it came with three belts. Turned out there were four belts in my deck. I let the seller know, but they didn’t change their auction. So I thought maybe there was a hidden belt.

Glad you got it working.
