SOUND LAB AUDIOPHILE A1 ELECTROSTATIC SPEAKERS SOUNDLAB - $1000

There are Craigslist ads in multiple cities for these.
Always the same ad and same pictures.

Don't fall for it people! It is clearly a complete SCAM.
Flag these ads and maybe you'll save a fellow music lover from getting robbed.

Do a Google search for exact words:
"SOUND LAB AUDIOPHILE A1 ELECTROSTATIC SPEAKERS"

39 hits, exact same scam ad. Funny, they put them in the musical instruments section instead of electronics.

What do they have to gain by listing them if they are a scam? I don't doubt you, just wondering how this scam would work.

Well they can insist on cash then try to get you to meet them then rob you. They can try to obtain information--your address--then rob you.

They can insist on a 'down payment', then disappear. If you can think of it, it's probably been tried.

Plenty of methods, be forewarned that crooks can be clever. (Remember a significant proportion of certain countries' income is by scamming americans via email.)

I would like to know if anybody has gotten emails back from this particular one, and what they claim. Maybe somebody in China from the Martin-Logan factory is making counterfeit SoundLabs?

There's a guy making copies of Altec multisectoral horns out of Teak wood and selling them for $1500. (They may actually sound good.)
