Schiit Freya Preamp with Parasound Halo A23 Amp....?? Anyone own or heard of such an odd pairing of preamp and amp? Any comments?

I own a very nice integrated amp, Marantz PM8004. But I've been so very impressed with a Schiit Mani phono preamp I bought recently that I'd like to try a Shiit Freya. I love the concept of selecting modes, passive or JFET or tubes.

So what do ya all think?

My only experience is with the original Modi and now the Gungner MB DACs. However, both have performed well above their price point, so I would say give it a try.

I think at risk of a 5% restocking fee, it is worth the effort.

I am looking to experiment with a passive preamp. Plus I get the option of a tubes with the Freya.

Thinking outside the box, the P5 is solid but not the alchemy I am looking for.

I had the A21 for a few years, and if what I read about the Freya is true, it will compliment the Halo house sound, adding a little top end to the Parasound's warmer sound.
