School's Out For Summer!

For the first time in over 100 years graduation ceremonies for my district were moved to indoors because of rain tonight. At my school the graduates were split into two groups. Half went to the gym and the other half went into the auditorium. Each graduating senior received only two tickets to give out to their family.
About 3 or 4 years ago we were blasted by a nasty dust storm that rolled through during the class acceptance speech of our assistant superintendent. Everybody got a mouth full of dirt and blinded at the same time. That one caught us by surprise.
Well anyway, my grades are completed and posted and my summer vacation begins! All that is left is to show up to my school sometime in the morn to turn in some paper work and collect my summer check!:banana::banana::banana:

Thanks, Ed. I have some speakers that need re-foaming and cabs refinished. In particular a pair of "smaller" Advents that I am looking forward to hearing them.
BTW- are you spending much time with your painting? Having been in photography for some time I have often thought about trying my hand at painting. Maybe when I retire I can give it a whirl. Be sure you keep at it yourself. Art is good for the spirit.

Yes, and I believe it is waiting for me at the Post Office. They left me a slip notifying me to pick it up since they would not leave it outside our courtyard because it had been raining.

Hope ya have a great summer. Though if I had the summers off, it would make it awful hard to go back in the fall. Heck, I don't get the summers off and I still hate going back to work in the fall.... or any season, or day for that matter.

mmm wait until college, I was out 2 weeks ago. Can you say work?
 
My wife is a teacher and yesterday was the last day for students. She has to go back Tuesday and Wednesday (I never have understood that) then her summer vacation starts. She's been counting the days all month. :yes:
