Score, Zenith

Just scored a zenith SET 6bq5 console pull on my scrap run today. Seen an old console under a pile of trash and pulled it out and the amp is nice.

Now to find more infor as this unit had a tuner to control the tt and tuner but the volume and tone controls are on the amp. The only numbers I can find are
062409 and 5L29 with a smudge after the 9

all zenith tubes still in it.

You need a djvu viewer to open it. AVG had no problems with it on my end.

I do have djvu on my puter never had this problem with his links before. It is the web sight that I am getting the warning on,

i have both, djvu version 3 & 4 installed and they are both giving me the same error messages when opening the file. apparently, the file is corrupt.

Update your AVG to the latest and then see if you don't both get the same result

Opened this in three different browsers and no warnings. Has a good Avast reputation as well.

Not that I ever thought otherwise just confirming.

My dad bought a Zenith console back in 1959 or so, I was 9 years old.

I ' loved ' that console. My first introduction to sound reproduction. I polished the cabinet endlessly with Pledge.

The kicker is: I can still smell it!! Vividly. The electronics. It's etched into my senses. Perfect!! :yes:

Well I stored it in the gas stove for a day sence it was rained on and then gave a good look and put it on the veriac and she sings, now to make a list of caps and make her safe to use.:thmbsp:

Yes the amp section is what i got, the tuner was fubar, this little amp sounds good but it does need a recap before i play it too much.
