Scott 388 Blowing Fuses - replace bad diodes with???

Hi,

Scott 388 Receiver is blowing main fuse. Service manual suggests various possibilities included shorted diodes, output transistors, etc. I've replaced the output transistors and rebuilt the driver boards. 2 diodes test bad. Service manual specifies these diodes as SR-2-50. Can anyone suggest a suitable replacement? I've put in a link to schematic and diodes for reference. Would these be 2amp 50v diodes. Anything special about them?

Thank You!

I don't think there's anything unusual there, aside from the mount. 2A 50V, you can go higher on either value especially voltage, that should give you a lot more options.

= or higher spec stud mount rectifier diodes will do ...just don't forget to insulate them from the chassis

Hi Frank. Did you find some new diodes?

My Scott 299-T is having same problems. Transistors are good. I'll test the diodes tonight to see if they are bad. If they are, just wondering where you got replacements.

Thanks,
David
