The FM Mute function seems to have a little issue on my Scott R 376.
It seems to mute very well as you tune higher past a strong station but not so well if you tune lower past a strong station. It doesn't seem to mute very well on the lower frequency side of a strong station. It seems to be a bit one sided working well on the higher frequency side but not so well on the lower frequency side of a strong station.
It also seems that the FM Tuning centering meter may be involved somehow. It centers fine when on the center of a strong station. It swings pretty strongly to the right (as you look at the meter) as you tune higher (mute working well) past a strong station but not so strongly to the left as you tune lower (mute not working so well) past a strong station.
The strength meter seems fine as best I can tell. Everything else about the unit is fine as best I can tell.
Haven't fired the unit up for a few years until now. Don't remember the mute behaving like this but maybe just didn't notice previously. Definitely seems one sided now.
Anyone have any insight on what the issue may be?
