Scroe! Sansui C-2101 on it's way.

I just purchased a C-2101 Preamp off the bay. It's cosmetically challenged, but said to be fully functional. It will mate with the B-2101 I bought off Etsy awhile back. The B-2101 was said to work, but it stays in protection mode. I haven't started working on the amp yet. I'll link the thread about the amp.

The C-2101/B-2101 most likely will sound like my AU-X701, a sound that I like very much. I want to bi-amp my ADS L1290 speakers. I realize the C-2101 has only one set of outputs, but that can be changed.

Can't link the thread about the amp right now, the new format has a glitch.

Nice pick up. I think you will be pleasantly surprised when you get this pair up and running, I have the 2102 pair (virtually the same as the 2101 pair), and they sound fantastic!!

With any luck your B-2101 just needs adjusting, congratulations on the C-2101 - +1 to John's comments above regarding his B-2102/C-2102 pair, I have the same, and they do sound amazing.

Thanks skippy124! I couldn't find that thread. It may be a few months before I get to play with them. I have to position my 'new' speakers and get my audio shelf in place. I'm doing a room treatment, too.

Good Luck with the C-2101,its a very nice preamp. I have just scored the matching Sansui TU-D99X tuner last week and it sounds great.
