SE-88 EQ, Step "size" in db?

I have a Sansui SE-88 remote control EQ and it seems to affect the sount TOO much, even with a change of only one "step" up or down.

What is the "size" of the steps (boost or cut), 3 db, 5 db, more? Is it adjustable?

I could use a owners manual if some one has one to scan or lend for scanning.

Thanks in advance!

2dB/step

I have the operating instructions manual for that uint. It will do 10 db + or -
by 2 db steps, I have the SE-88 and a SE-99 the 99 will do 12 db + or -, If you still need operating instructions I can send you a scan of it.

Thanks for the info!

Thank you all for the info on the SE-88 (it was a $10 thrift shop find).

tooloud62, yes I can use a scan of the owners manual (I will PM you with my E-mail address).
