SE-88 has hum

I am working with a Sansui SE-88 EQ when you turn on the EQ function it develops a hum almost like a 60 cycle hum. When the EQ function is off it has no hum. I have swapped out all the caps in the power supply as a precaution hoping that would do it. but no go.:no:

The voltages are on the money I have it plugged into an isolation transformer. I guess I will have to go thru every ground next. I was suspecting the transformer but I don't have a way to eliminate it.
 
This guy has two of these so I set the other one up this morning it also has the same hum a little less pronounced than the other but still there. I has a mod done to the micro that the other does not. I hate mods on older units you never know why it was modded.
