Hello,

Name is Nathan here from SE Michigan.

I was just gifted the following from family and friends for our new house we are moving into later this month.

Carver preamplifier ct-23
Carver amplifier A500x
Walsh 5's limited edition (25-500)

I am brand new to the world of audio and hifi equipment. I would like to know more and have an interest in getting the most out of what was gifted to me as well as investing in other pieces of gear down the road.

I hope this forum to be an enjoyable experience into this new hobby.

Welcome to AK , a very nice start on the gifted gear . You might want to check out the SMAC forum , its a audio club that meets one a month . Shoot the breeze have a beverage and talk to others in the audio family , about set up and whatever . The meets at my place this coming Saturday , drop in and meet the game .

Speakers are a pair of Walsh 5 limited edition.

Final placement of the system is yet to be determined b/c of an entertainment system that is being moved in. We haven't fully moved into our new house yet. Slowly though.
