SE WI and NE IL in March - It's That Time Again!!!

I’m in the market for a tube headphone amp if anyone is considering parting with one. Longshot I know but I’m just throwing it out there.

Thanks for coming Jeremy and Kerry! It's a fun event and just kind of flows in free form fashion. More social than audio but plenty of both.

Bob and Colette: thanks for hosting! I had a great time!!

Brian Walsh: thanks for the setup on my turntable! Listening to it now and it sounds great!!

What a fun time. Funny how an 18 pack just doesn't go as far as you'd think. :)
Good to see everyone.
Thanks to our gracious hosts for making the meet possible.

I'll put pix in a few at a time. First, some of my favorite gear I saw:

↑ Some crafty guy named Perry built a speaker "cabinet" out of a fallen maple tree. ;-) They sounded pretty good.

↑Our host seems to like old Sherwood Receivers.

↑ I think if more CD players were like this, the media might still be doing fine today. Seeing the disc spin is half the fun!

↑ Check out this sweet radio set!

↑ Here's the back of the log speakers.

The group photos were all blurry, as everyone was well-lubricated by that time. ;-)
(stupid camera decided to focus on the antenna instead of the people)

I think the biggest compliment I can give to our host and hostess is that Cari had to ask me if I thought we should go. I replied: "Nah, we just got here a couple hours ago." and she said: "Honey, we've been here for 7 hours!" I had no idea. I usually am begging to go when we go out to a party.

Thanks Collette for saving my glasses! I just started wearing them last year and haven't developed good habits yet re. putting them down. (I only need them for distance, so I kept removing them to take pix and I'm not smart enough to keep them on my person yet.

Thanks to our hosts, Bob and Collette for another great party.

And thanks to Brian for adjusting my TT's setup.

Todd
