Should have titled SEALING WOOFER FRAMES.. Recent threads on Sealing AR and other air suspension speakers bring to mind speakers I have revived. Have not addressed the woofer seals replacement. Just kept original seals. New large Advents , Boston Accoustics A100's air suspension. All of these have either a vinyl or rubber seals on them. I used mesh dust covers, as they originally had, for venting. What is a good replacement for the age compressed original gaskets? The caulk looks messy and was not original to these. Not tied the keeping to original if modern seal works similarly.

I use 1/8 inch thick closed cell packaging foam that just seems to accumulate in my house. It appears to work as well as the original foam gaskets.
